Studio Policy
Effective: January 1, 2015
Tuition
- Tuition for private lessons is charged on a monthly basis. Invoices will be sent out via email at the end of each month. Payment is due on or before the 10th of the next month.
- A $25 fee will be charged for returned checks.
- Online payments options are available. Credit card payments are subject to a 3.40% + 25¢ fee. ACH bank transfers are subject to a 50¢ fee.
Attendance
- Any missed lesson(s) will be charged at the full rate unless advanced notice is given at least 24 hours prior to the lesson time.
- Every calendar year, each student can cancel up to 8 lessons if 24-hour advanced notice is given. Cancellations beyond the 8th lesson will be charged and no make-up lessons will be provided. This policy does not apply to lessons falling on the studio’s observed holidays (please see list below for observed holidays).
- If a student is unable to give 24-hour advanced notice due to emergent illness, a make-up lesson may be arranged at the discretion of the teacher. If the student chooses not to make up the lesson, the student needs to use one of the 8 allowable cancellations to cancel the lesson.
- Lessons cancelled by the teacher do not need to be made up and do not count toward the student's 8 allowable cancellations.
Practice Expectations
- I believe that focus, dedication, and determination in practice will lead to rewarding experiences.
Recitals
- Students will have up to 4 opportunities to participate in recitals every year. Recital fees apply and rates are subject to notice.
